Finca Feliz is approximately 80 to100 years old, with exposed original beams making the whole apartment extremely homely. All windows and doors have mosquito netting and security bars, more for decoration than anything else. The kitchen/dining area is open plan, so that when you are preparing food, you are not isolated from your family and friends and can keep an eye on the children. There are extensive CD and book libraries which are available from the owners who live on-site. This also allows for immediate response to any problems which may arise during your stay. A holiday at Finca Feliz is relaxing, approximately 4 kms away from the hustle and bustle of busy, historic Altea and the night life of Benidorm is about half an hour away. It makes a very good base for exploring the local towns and villages and the fantastic sandy beaches of Calpe and Benidorm. The town golf course of Don Cayo, is also only a few minutes drive away, but there are many other golf courses, easily accessible. The old town of Altea La Vella, is approximately 2-3 kms, very pleasant walk through the country lanes and after the heat of the day, offers an ice cold glass of beer or refreshing coffee at one of just a few local street cafés. From the terrace, the panoramic view of the valley to the sea, plus the surrounding mountain ranges, are fantastic just the place to relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea and watch the sun go down to the west.The apartment was updated and refurbished in the spring of 2011, with new lounge and terrace funiture. The kitchen has a full complement of equipment and the air conditioning and central heating unit is available should you wish to use it. In both bedrooms, there are electric radiators, normally on timers, for background heat in the cooler months and in the summer, both bedrooms have central fans above each bed. Nothing beats breakfast cooked in the open on the terrace BBQ, the smell of bacon and sausages and fresh coffee will rouse the laziest person from their bed! It is very easy to use and bottled gas is supplied for this purpose. The hot water and hob are also powered by gas and the fan oven by electric. The bathroom has the usual facilities, bath with shower attachment, hand basin and toilet with house towels supplied for each person, and swimming towels provided for use outside and by the pool. Bedding is supplied, sheets and pillow cases, and duvets for during the colder spellsThe terrace furniture was bought new in the Spring of 2011. The dining table seats six persons with a matching two seater sofa, two arm chairs and glass topped coffee table. There are also 4 sun loungers with cushions and two "umbrella" parasols. The house faces south east and has the sun from rising to setting, the pool´s average temperature during the summer is around 30º. The garden has lots of mature trees, eucalyptus, pine, carob, mimosa, oleander and a few baby fruit trees as well, orange, pear, lemon, mandarin, fig, pomegranite, lime, grapefruit, and more established olive, almond and nispero, which is like a medlar. There are also some giant cactus and aloes, yukkas and some I dont know the name of, all very interesting to look at.
