Está considerada como una de las grandes joyas bibliófilas del siglo XX, declarado libro de interés nacional por el Ministerio de Turismo español, expuesto en BBB, y tercer libro más cotizado de Europa por el que se ha llegado a pagar en subasta 54.000€. En sus 634 páginas encontramos valiosas fotografías sobre diferentes aspectos de Sierra Nevada, destacan las realizadas a vista de pájaro con transparencias en las que se distinguen los ríos, barrancos y caminos.
